Thank you for inviting me. A pleasure.

  2. I am SO BUMMED I couldn’t be there for the show!

Great show guys and gal. I hope we can get Bob back on the show one of these days…

So many great topics and covered very well too.

A great show you all. I should’ve skipped my vacation trip for this one.

Well, not really, but almost 🙂

If I was there, my contributions:

    1. I don’t know if bike facilities improve motorist awareness of cyclists or not — I suspect a lot of factors are at play. In places without many cyclists (e.g. the Midwest like where Ed is at) I do get yelled at with some frequency to go ride on the bike path; apparently it doesn’t enter in the minds of many people that us cyclists might actually be on the way someplace.

    2. Giro and danger: I don’t know if fans look specifically for crashes, but when they happen I know people search online for photos, video, news and gory details. My top search phrase for the month of March was “Lance Armstrong Crash.” Giro organizer Zomegnan is clearly angling for spectacle as much as good racing, IMO.

    3. Of course I rode on Bike To Work Day 🙂 Though, like Rich Kelly, I joked that perhaps BTWD should be drive to work day for me, because of all the extra bike and transit use out there. Oh, and somebody picked THAT DAY to jump in front of a train south of San Francisco. Ah well, I had a fun 26 mile ride to work in the morning (stopped at 11 breakfast stations, including one that featured hot dogs!) and another fun and fast ride for the return.
